Applicants can request non-refundable grants ranging from HUF 75 million to HUF 500 million. The funding intensity depends on the type of activity undertaken but can be up to 70%.
Projects must be completed within a maximum of 24 months.
Who can apply?
Small and medium-sized enterprises can submit applications for funding, but micro-enterprises, large corporations, higher education institutions, and research centers can also participate as consortium members. Applications can only be submitted in consortium form, which encourages collaboration between different sectors in the development of advanced digital technologies.
The planned total budget is HUF 10 billion. Applications can be submitted from all regions of Hungary, except for Budapest.
When determining the eligibility of applicants, it is important to consider that the grant is only available to businesses that have at least three closed financial years and a minimum statistical staff of five employees in the most recent closed financial year. Additionally, they must have had a registered implementation site for at least one year, and the total approved dividends for the last three closed financial years must not exceed 50% of the sum of the net profits of the same three financial years and the retained earnings of the last financial year preceding these three years.
Businesses that have already received funding under the DIMOP_Plusz-1.1.2.A, DIMOP_Plusz-1.1.2.B, or 2024-1.1.1-KKV_FÓKUSZ calls for proposals, as well as those submitting an application under this call with identical professional and/or financial content to an application already submitted under the GINOP Plusz-2.1.1-24 call, are not eligible to apply.
What activities are eligible for funding?
The program supports research and development projects related to the growth of the digital economy, which are implemented through the application of advanced digital technologies. Eligible activities include industrial research, experimental development, and equipment acquisition, all of which contribute to digital R&D developments and market entry projects. The main areas of development include:
- software development (TEÁOR 58.2 Software publishing)
- infocommunication technology (ICT) services (TEÁOR 62 Information technology services)
- data processing (TEÁOR 63.1 Data processing, web hosting, internet portal services)
- telecommunications (TEÁOR 61 Telecommunications)
Application deadline
The submission of funding applications is expected to start in April 2025. The entire application process will be conducted electronically, and obtaining a NAV 0 tax certificate is a mandatory requirement for applicants.
Before submitting the application, businesses must obtain R&D certification, which takes a minimum of 2-3 months, within the timeframe specified in the final Call for Proposals.
