That is why it is worth keeping an eye on funding opportunities that help companies grow, develop, acquire new equipment, or even modernize their properties.
One such opportunity is the GINOP Plusz-1.2.4-24 program, which specifically targets the smallest enterprises in the most disadvantaged regions. If you are the owner of a micro or small enterprise and want to develop your business, then this support is made for you!
Which businesses can apply?
The call for proposals can only be submitted by micro and small enterprises that:
- have completed at least one full business year,
- had an average statistical staff of at least 1 person,
- do not fall under the KATA tax regime,
- operate in Hungary’s most disadvantaged regions or plan to implement their developments in the Free Enterprise Zones.
The purpose of this funding is to make modernization accessible to smaller companies, thereby increasing their competitiveness.
What types of developments are eligible for funding?
Under the program, various types of investments can be implemented to support business growth and efficiency.
For example, support is available for:
- the acquisition of new equipment and machinery, which improves productivity and work processes,
- technological developments and the creation of new capacities,
- property modernization and expansion, allowing for more efficient operations,
- information technology development, such as software acquisition or business cloud services,
- project management and professional support, ensuring smooth implementation of developments.
It is important to note that standalone real estate investments are not eligible for this grant, but they can be funded in combination with other developments.
How much funding can be requested?
Under the call for proposals, a minimum of HUF 5 million and a maximum of HUF 30 million can be requested.
This is a non-refundable grant, but at least 50% self-financing is required for the project.
The availability of an advance payment is also a significant advantage: up to 50% of the grant amount can be drawn as an advance, with a maximum of HUF 15 million.
Until when can applications be submitted?
The call for proposals opens on April 29, 2025, and applications can be submitted until April 30, 2026.
However, it is important to monitor the available funds, as if the submitted applications exceed 130% of the allocated budget, the call may be suspended earlier.
Where can the developments be implemented?
Projects can only be implemented in Hungary’s four most disadvantaged regions (Southern Great Plain, Southern Transdanubia, Northern Great Plain, Northern Hungary) or in the Free Enterprise Zones.
