Notably, the PIACI FÓKUSZ grant, which has been a popular funding option for SMEs every year, is missing this time. However, there are alternative funding opportunities, such as GINOP-2.1.1 and GINOP-2.1.3 (as discussed in our previous article), as well as options within the DIMOP program (A, B, C programs). This shift also explains why the focus has changed for 2025.
At first glance, the funding calls appear to be more narrowly defined in certain areas. Some planned programs are specifically designed for startups, and their titles suggest that further eligibility restrictions may apply. The allocated funding appears experimental, with only a few billion forints set aside in some cases – likely resulting in only a few dozen winners for specific calls.
